When you fill in a quote form, ring us, or email us, we collect what you choose to share. Typically that's:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- Your suburb or job address
- A brief description of the job (driveway, carpark, pothole, civil works, etc.)
If you become a customer, we'll also collect the info we need to invoice and complete the job โ for example a billing address, ABN if you're a business, and (for some commercial jobs) a purchase order or contract.
2.2 What we collect automatically
When you visit the site, our analytics tools record a small set of technical data:
- Your IP address (anonymised by Google Analytics)
- Your browser type, device, and screen size
- The pages you view, time on page, and how you got here (referrer, search query if provided by Google, ad click ID)
- For ad clicks: a Google Click Identifier (GCLID) and any UTM tags on the link
3. How we use it
We use your information to:
- Respond to your quote request โ call you back, send the written quote, book a site visit.
- Schedule and do the job if you accept.
- Invoice and keep records for ATO and NSW contractor compliance.
- Measure marketing โ work out which ads, pages and search terms actually bring in real customers, so we can stop wasting money on the ones that don't.
- Improve the site โ fix things that are slow or broken, write better content.
- Comply with the law โ including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), the Spam Act 2003, the Tax Administration Act, and NSW contractor licensing obligations.
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with anyone outside the people listed below.
4. Who we share it with
We share the minimum needed with these third parties:

5. Cookies & tracking
This site uses cookies and similar storage for three things:
| Cookie / storage | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|

_gcl_au | Google Ads โ links your ad click to your enquiry | Up to 90 days |
bwb_gclid, bwb_utm_* | Our own first-party cookies โ remember which ad/link you arrived from so we can attribute the lead | 90 days |
| Umami (cookieless) | Privacy-respecting pageview tracking | None โ no cookies set |

- Personalised Google Ads: manage at adssettings.google.com.
- All cookies: clear cookies in your browser settings, or use private/incognito mode.
Opting out won't break the site โ you'll still be able to send us a quote request.
6. How long we keep it
- Quote enquiries that don't become customers: kept for 24 months in our email and CRM, then deleted on request or during an annual purge.
- Customer records, invoices and job documentation: kept for 7 years as required by the Australian Taxation Office and NSW contractor record-keeping rules.
- Analytics data: Google Analytics is set to a 14-month retention window. Umami stores aggregated counts only.
- Server logs: rotated every 30 days unless required for a security investigation.
