1. Who We Are

This site is operated by BWB Civil Infra Pty Ltd (ABN 97 695 026 889), an asphalt and civil construction contractor based at 64 Chivers Rd, Somersby NSW 2250, working across the Central Coast of New South Wales. You can reach us at [email protected] or on 0447 039 682. We choose to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2. Information We Collect

When you request a quote or contact us, we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, email address and information about your project. When you use a click-to-call, SMS or WhatsApp link, your contact details are shared with us so we can reply. We also collect technical data automatically when you browse the site, such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view.

When you send an enquiry through our quote form, we also include how you found our site: for example whether you came from a Google ad, a search result, another website or a link we shared, the ad campaign involved (and the search term, where the ad link includes it), any ad click ID (such as a Google click ID), the page you landed on and when. We use this only to see which of our advertising actually brings in enquiries. To do this, the site remembers your first visit and your most recent visit from an ad or campaign link for up to 90 days, in your browser and in our own cookies (bwb_ft and bwb_lt).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare and discuss quotes, carry out the work you engage us for, and improve how this site performs. Submitting a quote request is not a marketing sign-up. We will contact you about your enquiry and the job itself, not to send unsolicited marketing.

4. Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand how the site is used. Umami does not set cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build an advertising profile of you. It records aggregate figures such as page views and referrers.

We may also introduce Microsoft Clarity, a product analytics tool that records anonymised session replays and heatmaps to show how visitors move through the site so we can fix usability problems. If we do, that data is processed by Microsoft under its own privacy terms, which you can read at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.

5. Advertising and Remarketing (Google)

We use Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing to measure our advertising and to show our ads to people who have visited this site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other sites.

You can opt out of personalised Google advertising through Google Ads Settings at google.com/settings/ads, and out of a wider set of third-party vendors through the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out at optout.networkadvertising.org.

6. Social Media Advertising (Meta)

We may in future use the Meta Pixel and Conversions API to measure and target advertising on Facebook and Instagram. If we do, data about your visit may be shared with Meta and handled under its Business Tools Terms. You can control the ads you see and opt out of personalised advertising through your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them, and some technologies that work like them, in four ways:

• Essential: your dark or light theme choice is saved in your browser's local storage. This is stored on your own device, is technically not a cookie, and is never sent to us or to anyone else.
• Enquiry source: our own cookies remember how you first arrived and your most recent visit from an ad or campaign link (for example a Google ad or a search result) for up to 90 days. We only use this information when you submit an enquiry.
• Analytics: none. Umami is cookieless. If we introduce Microsoft Clarity it may set analytics cookies, and we will update this policy accordingly.
• Advertising: Google sets advertising cookies now for conversion tracking and remarketing. Meta may set advertising cookies in future if we run Facebook or Instagram ads.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking advertising cookies will not stop you from using the site, though some measurement will no longer work.

8. Disclosure to Third Parties

We share personal information with service providers that help us run the business and this website, and with the advertising platforms named above. We do not sell your personal information.

9. Overseas Disclosure

Some of the providers we use, including Google, Meta and Microsoft, may store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. Where we disclose information overseas, we take reasonable steps to protect it as required by Australian Privacy Principle 8.

10. Security and Retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We keep your information only for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry, meet our legal and tax obligations, and resolve any disputes.

11. Access and Correction

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong or out of date. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

12. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
